The Veil
A backlit screen that descends like a temple curtain
Instead of a slider that travels sideways, a translucent screen comes down across the arch. Closed, the light stays on behind it and the deity remains a soft glowing silhouette, present but at rest. It is the most modern piece in the collection and the one people stand in front of longest.

Before you order
This is made one at a time, so it takes 30 to 45 days to reach you.
Nothing is waiting on a shelf. We would rather tell you that now than surprise you with it later.
A note from the founder
Read this before you order.
We are new, and every mandir we make is made one at a time.
That is the reason it takes 30 to 45 days to reach you, and I would rather say so on this page than let you find out at the end. Nothing here is sitting in a warehouse waiting to be picked. When you order, we start.
What happens in those weeks is not us being slow. The teak is chosen board by board and left to settle, because wood that goes straight from the yard to the saw moves later and a slider that binds is a mandir nobody opens. The jaali is machined and then every inside corner is cleaned up by hand. The lighting channels are routed through the body before it is closed, which is the only reason you will never see a wire. Then the finish goes on in thin coats and it is left alone to harden, and that last part takes longer than anyone expects.
I am not going to pretend we are bigger than we are. We are a small studio, this is the first year, and some things will not be as polished as they will be in three years. What I can promise is that I know which piece is being built at any given moment, and nothing leaves here that I would not put on my own wall.
If the wait works for you, message us and we will start. If it does not, tell me the date you need it by and I will tell you honestly whether we can make it.

What this one does
01
Divine Light
A layered warm 2700K system built around the deity, glowing from behind the way a garbhagriha is lit. Every wire runs in a concealed channel. The light is visible, the source and the wires never are.
02
The Sacred Close
A carved jaali lattice glides across instead of cupboard doors shutting. The deity rests without being closed into a box, light still passes through, and closing at the end of the day becomes part of the ritual rather than the end of it.
04
Made for Real Aarti
A removable brass diya tray with a heat shield and a smoke vent channel, and an integrated agarbatti slot with an ash catch. Designed for actual flame, every morning, not for the idea of one.
05
Moves With Your Home
A French cleat wall mount. Two holes, no carpenter. It unmounts cleanly, so the mandir comes with the family at every house shift instead of being left behind on a wall.
